Creating New Music Camp

July 24 – 28
Ages 7 – 9; 9 am – 4 pm

Explore your creativity and adventurous thinking. Throughout the week, students work together and in small groups to explore methods of music creation and performance. Games, exercises and discussions guide students through the process of exploring sound and finding their compositional voice. Guest artists will stop by to share their insight and the week will include a trip to a special performance. By the end of the week, each student will have a recording of a piece of music that she or he created. No prior experience is necessary.
