Brooklyn Youth Chorus offers world-class voice training for young people, ages 7-18, with an emphasis on healthy vocal development, music literacy, and group performance. The Chorus also features multiple performing ensembles, known for delivering professional-level performances in a wide variety of settings, from concert halls to professional recording studios.
Singers at Brooklyn Youth Chorus learn to deliver authentic performances across a wide range of genres and styles, including original work by a diverse group of composers. Our choristers are always up for the challenge - whether they are singing at the highest levels or preparing for their very first big recital.
Brooklyn Youth Chorus students are trained using the Cross-Choral Training® method, a proven holistic and experiential approach to teaching voice and musicianship in a group setting, designed by Founder & Artistic Director Dianne Berkun Menaker.
Brooklyn Youth Chorus welcomes students from all backgrounds and provides financial aid for tuition. Financial aid is available for private lessons and elective classes as well as for chorus tuition. We strive to remove any barriers to participation. The only requirement to join the Chorus is commitment and a love for singing.
